Sunday Not So Funday

I stopped in The Hi-Liter on a recent Sunday afternoon. I arrived around 3pm. Parking lot was maybe half full. Bouncers at the door but no cover charge or ID scan.

Grabbed a table in the center of the room. Waitress over almost immediately. $5.50 or so for a couple of draft beers (2 for 1 well, wine, draft during the daytime). I’m guessing there were maybe 30 customers there.

I’m guessing there were also about 30 dancers there. The Cuban contingent was holding down fort along the south wall. Speaking of the Cubans, they made up the overwhelming majority of the dancers on this visit. It wasn’t the top of the line Cubans either. Outside of the Cubans, there were a couple of black girls and several whites girls. What was missing was any attractive girls. On the 1-10 scale, they were mostly in the 4-6 range. The only criteria the club seems to be using to hire girls nowadays is that they are willing to pay the house fees. Don’t get me wrong, there are still some attractive girls who work here, but none were present on this day. I didn’t see one girl I wanted to spend on and cut my visit fairly short.
