It's cleaner
I visited "Danielle's Dolls" fka Jen's Den on a Saturday night recently. It was close to midnight when I pulled into the parking lot. The lot was populated by eight cars. The lot was lit adequately and upon entry, I found a rotund attendant at the door with a cash register at the ready. The temperature inside was bitingly cold. The cover was $5 and a wanding was necessary before I could enter. The place has been cleaned since it was "Jen's Den" and, as a result, the gift of vision is now required in order to find the bathroom.
The crowd was sparse. A server fielded my request for a Miller High Life by showing me a bottle of "Lite" and asking if that was okay. I replied logically and asked if Heineken was available. She returned with the green bottle, and disappeared with whatever bill I handed over. Soon, a woman of a certain age approached and engaged me in the usual conversation. Nothing about uh "Britany" was remarkable. I was waiting for the server to return with my change when Britany began to break down the costs for entertainment at Danielle's Dolls. Bar dances are $20 and ....I didn't listen to much more. I asked the server if she was sure that she had given me the correct change. I though that I had given her a $20. Her response: I had given her a $5 bill and the beer was $6 so she accepted the $5 without saying anything because they didn't have my first choice of High Life in stock, so now, I owed another dollar since I brought it up, AND they "checked the cameras" and I definitely gave her a $5. I handed over a few dollars more. Brittany then indicated that she had something important to do in another part of the room, but that I should not go anywhere. I finished my $28 beer and left.
