Hope the Port never changes!
A sales trip to Sarnia is always a good excuse to stop at one of my favorite old style clubs, "The Port"! As has been stated, the club is in the old downtown area and is is an old hotel / boarding house building (although I believe it has been the Riverport for 30+ years).
It is near the industrial south end and a bit run down (actually there is an "encampment" in a park just down the street). There is an unpaved parking lot and plenty of street parking. I have never had any issues in the area or club. It is right across the river from the States and the crowd is usually mixed Canadians and Yanks.
I arrived early on a Friday evening (about 8) and the club wasn't crowded. There is never a cover and there are usually a few doormen. The club isn't large, It has a few different levels/areas and couple pool tables. The bar is on the far wall from where you walk in and I took a seat, ordered an ex ($9 incl tip) and talked to the bartender until it got busier.
