Early Thursday Afternoon Disappointment

It had been a couple years since I visited Platinum West and I happened to be in Columbia for business. After wrapping up a meeting on a Thursday afternoon, I headed to the club around 12:30. I know, I know. That’s pretty early for a club, but it’s what worked with my schedule.

The parking lot only had 5-8 cars, so I knew I was probably in trouble. Upon entering, the lady at the desk scanned my ID and asked for about $5 for a cover fee. I asked her how many girls were here and she said that there were a couple. So, I decided to pay the fee and head in.

After going through the double doors, you see two stages in the middle-right of the room. To the left is the bar, past that is the men’s restroom and a golfing video game (felt very out of place). There were two customers and a waitress in the main room…no dancers. I went and had a seat near the back close to the private dance booth room. The waitress came by and I ordered a Gin & Tonic for $8. It was verrry strong, she didn’t hold back, but that’s the only positive of this entire trip.
