She Insisted

I visited Sahara Theatre in Anaheim California on Tuesday afternoon April 23, 2024 from about 1:30 to 2:30. This place is located at the intersection of State College and Ball Road, which is sort of at the boundary between industrial and residential areas. Pretty much a suburban intersection, gas stations on 3 of the 4 corners, fast food places on a couple of the corners, sit down restaurants sharing parking lots with the building the club is in. I was in Anaheim to attend several baseball games at Angel Stadium which is about 1.5 miles away.

Tuesday is their reduced price day. After a pat-down outside I paid a $15 cover, no ID check. There is a one drink minimum, all drinks (non-alcoholic) are $10 including water, soft drinks, coffee, and non-alcohol beer according to menus on the tables. I had slightly fancy Smart Water for my $10. Like all the other clubs in the Onegc empire there were many asks to buy a dancer a drink which I declined. Note that it’s just the waitress who asks this, not dancers themselves. The club is a fairly small rectangular room, very dark. A rectangular stage with one pole in the center with some chairs at the rail. Small tables and chairs around it and more seating on raised levels on two sides. At the end of room opposite the entrance is a small service bar, which is where one pays in advance for the timed dances. To the right of the bar is a short hallway to the restroom and the more private timed rooms. There are a few colored lights but not many, and two screens showing sports that seemed mostly an afterthought. Music usual club stuff.

About 10 customers and 12 dancers at this time. This number and the names of the dancers seemed to agree with the roll call on the onegc app. A dancer on stage most of the time with some gaps. They did 2 song sets getting nude in the second song, or a least it appeared to be so since the stage is so dark it’s hard to tell for sure if they are nude. The dancers are mostly white and Latina, of various ages and decent appearance. Individual dances are normally $20/song but they were having Tuesday special of 3 for $40 all day, These are done on the raised level on one side of the club and are not private. The main thing the DJ kept announcing was the somewhat more private $80 for 10 minutes, which is $120 for maybe a bit longer on other days. The $180 more private rooms was the normal price but perhaps for a slightly longer time this day.
