Better than expected!

Paradise City is located just south of Mathias, WV - not exactly the sort of place most people pass by on accident. I've known about the club for a few years, and for a long time it had a reputation for drugs and unruly customers. I decided to take a chance since I was in the area, and I'm glad I did.

I arrived around 10 on a Friday night. The club is BYOB, and I was charged $25 at the door. Upon entering, I was greeted by a run-of-the-mill but clean club interior. The stage is small and low to the ground, but the dancers made the most of it. There weren't that many patrons - this IS an out of the way club - and a few small groups had brought coolers full of beer to enjoy the show. They were some tables, but most of the seating was just chairs set up along the walls. Very basic, but not bad.

Almost immediately I was greeted warmly by a few dancers, and in between dances at least one would come over and talk to me. Overall, they were an eclectic group, but attractive. Some had a lot of tattoos, some almost none. Some very tall, some short. A variety of figures as well, though they were all fit and in the healthy range. I got no sense that any of them were on hard drugs and the conversations were flirty, friendly and coherent. Surprisingly, zero pressure to buy a private dance - I actually had to bring it up.
