I hadn't been to the GGR in 10+ years. My travels didn't really take me down that neck of the woods at a post-4pm time, but a large weekend client project had me driving home to an empty house, so I stopped off.
Place feels the same as it ever did. Weird R35 turnaround at the ice cream shop to turn into the lot.
Lot felt safe enough.
$20 cover at the door.
Went inside, there were a bunch of people at the upper bar, next to no one stage-side, but a couple seats with buffer seats around in the upper bar, so I planted myself to reacclimate myself.
Very little action at the upper bar; I expected a parade of singles you really need to make the effort to get up and go down to stage side. I think that effort doesn't go unnoticed by the dancers onstage, and they'll come over and spend some time and focus things near you, especially if you're the only guy stage-side.
I spent some time with a dancer named June, large breasts, little older (said she's been dancing there 10+ years) and just my type. Took the 15 minute dance, it was a good time.
I'm hoping this client needs another weekend-long project done soon...
