Zzzzz...
I drive by this place frequently. It is off of I94- Exit 52- and quite visible from the main highway. I have stopped in occasionally over the years, but, it has been over 5 years since I have given it a shot. Unfortunately, it will probably be at least that long before I stop again.
The club itself is, I must say, pretty nice. As I mentioned, it is right off of the main interstate and easy to access with plenty of parking. The club is clean, well maintained, etc. It kind of has the feel of a Deja Vu, corporate type club, but, with a Wisconsin, woodsy vibe.
I stopped in around dinner time- 6-ish- on a Thursday evening. There was a bouncer / manager type dude, a bartender, one dancer and one other customer. I ordered a beer and sat, hoping things might liven up a bit. The bartender, bouncer and dancer all spoke with each other, so I engaged with my phone, checking my bracket as the March Madness games were just beginning. I was surprised, and bummed, when, almost immediately, the bartender let me know that use of phones was not allowed due to the possibility of customers taking photos / videos of the dancers. She was cool about it, but, umm... there was nobody on stage, nobody to photo / video...
This prohibition was also indicative of the overall vibe of the club. There was more than one "Absolutely No Touching the Dancers" sign and it was pretty clear this is a very, umm, "vanilla" club. Lots of rules, the kind of place I hate.
As I sat there and worked on quickly downing my beer, a girl showed up to audition. She was directed to the stage, and it was, in a way, interesting to watch her work the pole and remover her top. She was clearly experienced.
