Doesn’t seem ready to be open.
I heard the Vu was open again, so I knew I wanted to give it a try as it used to be a place I liked on occasion. I saw an ad on Instagram for free admission on St. Patrick’s Day so I thought why not. Arrived just after 11. First off, there was nothing on the sign out front and no indication of where the entrance was, so I wasn’t even sure it was open. but I found the entrance and was greeted by a security guard who was Checking IDs. She said there were two girls working tonight. Only two girls? I wasn’t sure if I heard her right, but since I had a free admission, I figured what the heck. Walking in, I saw the private rooms to my left before entering the main room. The main room was bright, as if the place was about to close at the end of the night. No mood lighting. No one dancing. In fact,
there was nearly no one in the room. Aside from the two aforementioned dancers who were sitting with a couple patrons. There were a couple other patrons walking around, and I wondered why they were there. I wondered why I was there. Very weird vibe. Honestly, it didn’t look like it should be open. They advertised a party for the holiday, but with only two girls working, that’s no party. I will say the place was recently redone, and it did look clean. What a disappointment. I realize it was a Sunday night, not the best night, but it was a holiday. I used the bathroom and headed out within 10 minutes. I’m not a drinker, and I’ve always liked the full nude nature of the bar. They have some work to do if they’re expecting to pull any patrons through the doors on regular basis.
