Why is it empty?

I went to Gentlemen's Club Thursday as I try to stop in once per month. Gentlemen's Club is in a rapidly developing area but located in an old strip mall, so the end could be near. You enter a vestibule which usually has the manager, but he was bartending today From the vestibule you go through a door and the rather large club opens up in front of you. Restrooms are behind the vestibule and better than most. No attendent, but doors on the stalls. The bar is straight ahead when you enter, but it is a smallish opening and no stools. I personally like a seat at the bar, so I don't like this set up, but it does save me a drink (10 for a Gin and Tonic). The club is 2 levels with a large stage and many tables, all in pretty good shape. There is also a VIP area which is a bunch of sofas behind a half wall and some sheer curtains, certainly not private. There is also another area behind it which costs more money ($150 per 15 minutes which is also not private).

The club is almost always dead when I enter. There were 4 dancers at 2:30 pm on Thursday, all decent looking. One was Gigi (bleached blond, 40 plus, thin, appears to hail from Mars) and 3 girls of some Latina origin. They greet you quickly and push for a dance. The VIP dances are $35 each. Seems like alot to me, but welcome to clubbing in Charlotte. On this day I chose Gigi. I have known her for years, get dances on occasion and today was that occasion.

Gigi asked me to buy her a drink, which she has not done in the past. She told me that she was having a bad week. I passed, as I only wanted to spend about 30 minutes here and prefer to spend it on dances. I said lets go for dances and she agreed. We went to the VIp area, waiting for a new song and she immediately gave a better dance than I remember. Gigi always tells wild stories about her life and this time was telling me some story about a husband who is a millionaire in Europe who was cheating on her with a guy. (Gigi has told me for years she is married to a millionaire in Central Europe, yet she is always at Gentlemen's Club.) She also told me that I always choose the younger latina girls when I come in, and she is better. She then went for the drink again, telling me that her dances will get even better if I buy her a drink or take her to the $150 area. No specifics, Gigi is a pro.
