sinclair's Review
I went to Rendez-Vous 10-35 on a Tuesday evening at 18:30. The club is at the junction of Autoroute 10 and Autoroute 35. The parking lot looked like it was paved at some point, but it seems to be breaking up into gravel. There was a $5 cover charge. The doorman doubles as the DJ. The main stage is to the immediate left with its back against the front wall. The stage has two poles; one of the poles is on the back corner of the stage and pretty much unusable. The bar takes up most of the left side of the room. Shift change happens at 19:00. The day shift dancers leave, and the night shift dancers stream in. Drink prices go up at 19:00. Sincweisers were $7.25 during the day and went up to $8.25 at night. Import beers were $8.25 during the day and went up to $9.25 at night. I bought a Red Bull for a dancer, and it was $8.
Dancers were mostly older white women (thirties and forties) during the day shift. The night shift offered younger meat and more variety: Latina, Caribbean, African, and Quebecois. The entire time I was at the club, I only saw one dancer put on a stage show. It seems dancers just want to talk to customers and sell private dances. Dancer quality was above average. I would say Rendez-Vous 10-35 is close to being a 7-Up factory in the evening.
