Exceeded Low Expectations

It had been more than ten years (I think) since my last visit to Dream Girls. When I said that to one of the two dancers working during my visit, she replied, "Nothing has changed." That wasn't really true, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Over the past few years, I mostly have been bouncing between Downtown Cabaret and Spearmint Rhino when I'm in downtown Minneapolis. I felt like I needed to cleanse my palate and switch things up, and since I was staying at a nearby hotel, Dream Girls made sense, since it was just a short walk away.

As other people have mentioned, the common way to get in continues to be Sneaky Pete's. A light rail station is literally right outside the front door of Pete's, and although there has been news of crime on the light rail and its platforms, the platform was almost deserted. I felt safe the whole time I was out on the sidewalk.
