Pretty good experience for a (non) snowy night
Tuesday was the snowstorm that wasn't, 8-10" predicted for the entire state, zip-zero actually accumulating in most places. Consequently, many places of commerce, government, and education were closed. First I drove to Mario's in Webster, but there were no vehicles in the parking lot. I then headed to Centerfolds with some trepidation, having had mixed experiences there in the past. The parking lot sparsely populated but not empty, so I went in.
It seemed brighter than normal. Normally my first feeling upon walking in is that I can't see anything, including my own hand in front of my face. So, that was an unexpected reversal. The doorman collected $20 (another reason that I don't come here often), checked my license, and wanded me down.
Mixed drinks are $12, wine is $10. I get the impression that wine isn't ordered often, since the waitress had to go in cellar to get a fresh bottle. The waitresses were friendly and helpful.
