Calling "Shotgun" for the Ride to the Player's Club
First time to a Denver area club. Took me about 30 minutes from the Denver airport car rental center. I hate valet parking, and I couldn't remember what I read on TUSCL about parking, so I parked in the Target parking lot and walked over. Turned out that wasn't necessary.
Arrived just before 7p and snuck in with the $3 cover (rises to $10 at 7p and $15 at 10p). The gentleman working at the admission desk was well-dressed, smiled, and was very friendly. That was a good, welcoming start. Inside there were quite a few round stages with poles - each surrounded by different color lights: blue, purple, pink, yellow, etc. There is an elevated set of tables off to one side, a corner bar front left and a back bar. I headed to the back bar while my eyes adjusted.
The dancers here, overall, met my favored esthetic - young, thin, and largely natural. There didn't seem to be much pattern to the stage sets at this hour, sometimes there would be one dancer up, sometimes two, sometimes three, and they'd stay for a variable number of songs, and sometimes they'd go topless and sometimes they wouldn't. There were more dancers than patrons.
