Multiple Visits To Get Angel's On The Radar

I sent Founder a message over a year ago about this new club, Angel’s, reopening and I received a message this week stating it had been added to the Portland list. In its last life, this was Tommy’s Too and in October of 2021 it shut down when the owner passed away. It has been several months since I have been to this place and this is a review from my three visits to get it on the TUSCL radar.

History. Tommy’s Too was originally a strip club. The owner either gave up or lost his liquor license around 2018 and he turned it in to a hybrid between a strip club and a lingerie studio. When I asked him about the change, he said he gave up his liquor license for a better booth experience in the back. He did away with individual lap dances and started charging 15- and 30-minute one-on-one “shows.” A customer could still come in and ask a model to dance, but that was not the core business arrangement. Although there were signs in the booths that stated, “No Sex”, that was just for looks. I won’t go in to details, but from my number of visits back then, it was a fun “extras” club and reasonably priced. I had a regular here and when it shutdown, she offered me “shows” at her residence.

The club reopened and a few of us mongers were hoping it would continue the same business arrangements, but that would not be the case. For starters, they now have a full bar, which means Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) are policing the operation. After a couple of visits with disappointing lap dance results, I found out that the new owner also owns 82nd Strip and Columbia Strip. Both of these clubs are known for “no extras” in the booths, so I am not surprised that this club is following that protocol. There was some confusion about the name since they have a banner on the side of the building that states, “Foster Rd Strip,” but a lighted sign stating “Angels”. On my first visit, I confirmed it was Angel’s.
