Tempered Expectations

I've been to Clancy's before, but probably not in 4 or 5 years. The lack of extras and the communal lap dance room are not exactly my cup of tea. Anyway, I was on a losing streak last night - from VIP's, to Ragtime, to 5th Ave, to Jiggles. It was like they were having a fucking contest to see who can produce the oldest, fattest, ugliest dancers in New Jersey. Each stop was one beer and out, and I felt like I needed to temper my expectations and change things up a little, so I wouldn't go home completely disappointed.

Clancy's is a subtle, unassuming corner bar in a quiet residential neighborhood. Two doors, one in the front and the other around the corner. I used the latter because you enter in the middle of the place. It's a very small narrow space and can get crowded. This was around 9pm and when I first went in all of the roughly 16 seats at the bar were taken. The stage is in the middle protruding out in front of the bar itself. Lap dance room is all the way in the back, beyond an area with some high top tables.

After the disappointing night I'd had so far, it was a great relief to finally see women easy on the eyes. There were about 8-10 dancers, all Latina of some sort. Let me be clear, this is no 7-Up factory, but the girls are generally nice looking. Didn't see any spinners, nor any fatties. All looked pretty good in the face department. No horror shows like what I saw at 5th Ave this particular evening.
