good club - if it's the first time you've ever been to a SC

It's been a few years since I stopped in to HB's so figured that I'd check it out. Went on a very cold Thursday night from about 5:30-7 pm. Maybe 8 other solo customers in the place. No cover charge since before 7. They make you check your jacket and you take a ticket which you hand back in upon return for a small tip. Security at the door does a quick pat down and ID scan. Girl at the window puts a paper bracelet on you and lastly, you roll through the turnstyle.

Went to the bar and ordered a beer. Not sure if they are still $1.50 or $2 but the waitress said $2. For each one I got, I gave $3 which is about the lowest price you can find in a SC.

The layout and decor haven't changed other than the fact that the dance area on the main floor has been replaced by slot machines and the dances take place upstairs. It is sort of warehouse style with concrete floors and small bar height tables and stools spread throughout - great set up for big crowds but not the most comfortable seating. I was considering the burger/fries but the cook wasn't at work yet so they only had nachos. Passed on those.
