Good afternoon diversion

Wackos is located in an old strip mall just east I95 on Emerson Street. Parking in the strip mall can get a bit tight when the club is crowded. I mention this because the neighborhood is marginal and I'm not sure that I'd want to park in the neighborhood and walk to the club, especially at night.

I'm not a frequent visitor to Wacko's. This is probably my fifth visit over the past two years but four of the visits have been very "satisfying.'" For this afternoon visit, there was no cover charge. You enter through a metal detector but I'm not convinced that it is operational. It certainly didn't detect my keys and cell phone. As others have described, a horseshoe shaped bar is in the middle of the room and there is a stage to either side of the bar and a small stage in front of the bar near the entrance. There are lots of seating options, ranging from small tables and low chairs to padded benches and a few bar stools and taller tables around the perimeter. The private dance area is a larger room to the left of the bar. It contains a number of smaller booths that do NOT have privacy curtains. However, the corner booths do provide some level of privacy because the booth is a bit larger and has some corner areas that are not readily visible. There is an attendant at the entrance to the private dance area but in my visits, he has never monitored or commented on any of the activities that happen in the private dance area.

On this visit, I sat at the bar. Service is prompt. On most afternoons, they run a 2 for 1 beer special for $6. Dancers were a mixed group of women, mostly Cuban with a few AA and White dancers mixed in. I tend to prefer slender, athletic women. I only found a few women that I found attractive; many were too thick, and a few too chubby for my tastes. One thing I like about sitting at the bar, especially at one of the stools to the back of the bar, is that some of the dancers will offer you a mini grind and sometimes a little OTP fondling as a sales pitch while standing beside you at the bar.
