Still chugging along, don’t forget about this place

Gold Club has been a Baltimore club staple forever. It’s hey day is long past, but it still offers some opportunities for fun. Facility and basics have been the same forever. Large club, two bars connected by a long stage with single pole, no cover during the day or most weeknights. Drink prices are strip club standard outside of happy hour, $10 a beer, $15 for liquor. Dancer drinks are $16 and they have a quota to sell 5 or so per shift. If you’re sitting at the bar with a dancer, the bartender will ask if you want to buy her a drink. If I want the dancer to sit with me, I’ll try to ask her ahead of time if she’d prefer a drink or me just tipping her for dances or time, depending on my lusty intentions for the visit.

Club patronage has dropped off over the years but it’s settled into a rhythm. Friday nights are the busiest, followed by Wednesdays all day and night because dances are $20, instead of the usual $30. Some fun can be had in the regular dance room, though it’s open and there are cameras as well. VIPs are a bit frustrating here as there’s some payment to the club, of which the dancer gets a share, plus a tip on top. It’s never been clear to me what the split is. Figure it’s about $350 a half hour, but you could do better or worse. They do run a Stimulus Day once a quarter where your first VIP is $100 + some tip.

Not expecting much, I stopped by on Friday. Happy hour beers are $6. I’m writing the review because although the club was slow, the talent made it a worthwhile visit. Present were Bunny, hot athletic blonde, Nina, mixed athletic girl, Divenna, hot Latina who is in the process of shedding some baby weight, Kimberly, white BBW, Mandy, white older dancer but has held it together. Maya was back on the schedule though I didn’t see her, hot thin blonde, a bit older. All of those girls deliver good dances, some will try to make you LDK or otherwise give you a helping hand, others are clean but give a good dance within those limits.
