LAST VIST TO RUBYS - See Ya!

Have been going to this place on and off for decades. However, based on this last visit, I will not be going back.

Not because of the girls, but because of the ridiculous way I was treated by the bartender.

When I arrived, there were a bunch of regulars sitting around the bar drinking their own alcohol which they brought to the place. Ruby's simply keeps in for them and charges some kind of per drink fee to "pour" each drink. I do not do this. I simply order a bottled water or a coke (which comes in a tiny plastic cup) and pay my $5 and tip the girl $2. On this visit, the bartender didn't even come to where I was sitting (on the stage side of the club) as they usually do, so I walked up to the bar to get served and still gave her $2 for doing nothing.

I watched several dancers on stage, and tipped each one a few dollars, without exception. After about 25 minutes, having not seen anyone that really got me interested, I picked the best of the group and went back and had a dance, To do this, you first give the girl $20 for the first dance and she goes to the bartender with the $20 - in return she gets a ticket and gets to keep $10 of the $20. Then she picks me up and we head to the back. I had 3 dances with her for a total of $60 and they were so-so at best. Very low mileage, only the top came off and there was not touching below the waist at all. Grinding was minimal, it was really just sitting on my lap and letting me rub her arms and occasionally her tits. After the dance, I went back to the bar to get another drink - another $5 and another $2 tip. I sat n my seat for about another 30 minutes and watched the dancing rotation, again tipping each dancer. By now I had been there an hour, and I am guessing I was in for the $60 for the dance, $10 for sodas, $4 for bartender tips, and at least $40 in dancer tips. I figure I will try one more dance and hopefully have better luck and then head out. A decent looking dancer comes over to where I am sitting and starts to chat. She wasn't really my type, but she was trying really hard and seemed nice, so when she asked about a dance, I said sure. I gave her $20 and off she went to the bar to make financial arrangements. She comes back and I think we are off to the back, but that wasn't the case. She said that the bartender said I have to buy another drink before I go for a dance. WHAT??? So I go the bar and ask her what then problem was. She repeats that I have to buy antlers drink if I want to have a dance. I remind her that I have been in the place for 60 minutes, have purchase two drinks, tipped her twice, tipped every dancer in the house, and already had 3 dances. Perhaps she simply made a mistake. Shesays no, you need to buy another drink. I should have walked out then, but that would've screwed the dancer. So I gave her $5, ordered a soda, and when she handed it to me, I left it sitting at the bar. No tip. Took the dancer to the back, had two dances (not very good by the way) and walked out. I will not be back. The place isn't what it used to be. Everyone used to complain about Richie - but it was far better back then.
