Worth the Visit if You Can Dance (Even Badly)

La Gloria is somewhat unique in that it is a taxi dance (you tip the girls for dancing with you) club. Tropical Bar is similar in that there are times when taxi dancing is an option, but it is first a strip club/brothel and second a dance club, as opposed to LG, which is primarily a taxi dance club. Occasionally, the girls will get on stage and strip, but it is not a regular feature of the LG.

There are two entrances to the club. No working metal detector to go through and a few times I was frisked, but most of the time they were just happy to see someone come in and waived me through. Weekdays are slow. Weekends are active, but it isn’t packed. There is a bar that I will use as a location marker due to the two entrances. A short distance in front of the bar is the floor-level stage, which is more of a dance floor than an elevated stage. It does have a pole. Most of the music is Mexican Banda, so it is easy to move your feet. (I am not a total klutz, but I have a poor sense of rhythm and I was able to avoid causing my partners serious injury.)
