Slow during the day; busy at night?

The Place:

The club is clean and comfortable. When you walk in, straight ahead of you is a bouncer station which is usually not manned when I went in (noon-1pm) either of two days. In the past, when I've gone in during the day and there has been a bouncer there, I've walked right past them and they haven't hassled me for a cover charge but I do know they are firm about collecting at night.

To your right, is the bottom of a U-shaped bar. There are a bunch of regulars who sit on one arm of the U facing the stage that tend to hang out for longer periods of time. There is usually a spot on the other arm of the U but then your back is to the stage.
