I hadn't been to a strip club in years, and went to Club Risque in South Philadelphia because regular reviews (like Yelp) seemed to indicate it wasn't low-class or dirty. This was the case, thankfully - clean bathrooms, reasonable tables and bar. When you get inside (there's a $10 cover on Monday), the setup is a large stage in the center of the club, bar surrounding it, seats at the bar, tables a few feet from it, and then an upper area with larger tables. You can sit in the upper area to relax and avoid having to tip everyone that walks by (one of the annoying parts of this club, unless most have changed to doing this). One other negative is it smells of smoke inside, but you get used to it. The music was sort of awful (no rock played at all), but wasn't so loud you couldn't hear well or speak to the dancers.

Though I didn't count, I'd guess there were about 15 dancers working while I was there (9 PM-1 AM). Of the 15, I thought 2 were actually really attractive (both face and body - on a number scale, 8/10). The rest were varied from unattractive (overweight, a bit old, and covered in tattoos) to average (looked okay in stripping clothes, but, to me, not worth paying for dances with). Ethnically, it was mostly white women, but there were a couple of other ethnicities (couple of Latina girls, one Black girl, maybe one South Asian girl). It was a slower night at the club, and some of the girls just seemed interested in talking to each other, i.e. weren't overly aggressive in approaching customers (which I actually prefer). I ended up speaking with one of the girls who was actually attractive at the bar, and later got a few dances, after getting to know her better for about 30 minutes.

Costs weren't cheap, but they didn't seem overly expensive either. The cover was $10, which was different than what I read for a Monday (no entrance fee). Drinks were $7 for beers, $7 for a club soda (which I thought was absurd, and couldn't be replaced with something else when asked), and I avoided liquor because I was driving later. Lap dances were $20 each in a reasonably private area (and on a Monday, not many were getting dances). The champagne room was $250 for 30 minutes. Based on the girl I got a few dances from, it seemed like, depending on the girl, extras were available in the champagne room. For example, when asked, she was open to using her hands in there, and potentially more if you spent enough. She also indicated she met people at a couple of expensive hotels in the city (I thought I may as well ask, and she did offer 'GFE' services at hotels). The lap dance itself was good, allowed touching breasts or grabbing her ass whenever you liked, and she was open to following instructions or requests, i.e. grinded however I wanted her to. I left after 5 lap dances, though, as I thought it wasn't really worth spending more than I had (and it became clear she wasn't going to finish me, as it were, unless I went to the champagne room).
