sinclair's Review

I went to the Top Hat Lounge twice over the weekend. The club is located right in downtown Fort Dodge. Parking is free along the sides of the street. I went at 22:15 on Friday night and at 21:30 on Saturday night. Both nights there was a $2 cover charge. Immediately to the left of the entrance is a small closet with two couches facing each other. This is the private dance room. A black curtain covers the entrance. The right wall has an old style wooden bar that was right out of an old Western. There was a lot of Notre Dame football paraphernalia decorating the shelves behind the bar. There is a stage with no pole on the left wall towards the back. There are right chairs posted at the tip rail. There is a pool table in the rear of the room that was constantly in use. Cans of beer are $3.50. I got a Budweiser that wasn’t cold and tasted a little off. I switched to Busch Light, which is what ninety percent of the patrons drink here.

On Friday night, there were only two dancers: Candy and Roux. On Saturday night, there were three dancers: Candy, Celeste, and Roux. On both nights, there was definitely a demand for dancers that was not being satiated. Music was played off of a laptop behind the bar. There was an old dilapidated TouchTunes jukebox on the right wall collecting dust that looked like it had not been used in years. Dancers took turns on stage. Due to the lack of a pole, the stage show was almost solely the dancers interacting with patrons sitting at the tip rail. Stage tipping led to full contact touching. Horny patrons were grabbing the dancers’ asses and tits. Dancers would jump over the tip rail and do short lap dances on tippers. I was surprised at how uninhibited the dancers were here.
