I hit up Daisy Dooks on a Friday night at 22:00. There was a $15 cover paid through a glass window inside a vestibule. The cover charge is $12 on Sunday through Thursday and $15 on Friday and Saturday. You are given a wristband for in-and-out access. The club does not have a liquor license and is BYOB. You can only bring in beer, no hard alcohol. They only want you to bring beer in aluminum cans, but I did see two Mexicans that were allowed in with glass bottles. I dragged in a wheeled cooler full of Sincweisers on ice. The bouncer outside asks you to open your cooler for inspection. I had small bottles of Jagermeiser hidden underneath the beer and ice. If you are a nondrinker, there are vending machines inside the club with sodas and sports drinks for $2 or $2.50.

The club is about 5,500 square feet. The left half of the club is at floor level with a side stage, and the right half of the club is downstairs in a pit with the main stage and most of the seating. The main stage is a huge ‘T’ with three poles. Each pole is about thirty feet high. The side stage has a pole about twenty feet high and is used mostly for dancers warming up or practicing. The tables have large basins in the middle that are filled with ice by the staff upon request. If you don’t bring a cooler with ice, these basins are the best option for keeping your beer cold.

I counted eighteen dancers working on Friday night. There was a good variety of body types and ages represented. Most of the dancers are Caucasian or Hispanic. Most entertainers, but not all, got nude on stage. Stage contact was mostly boobs to the face.
