Culture change
I went to Treasure a few months ago, first time in a long time. It was disappointing.
It hadn't changed much with a $10 (?) entry and $5 cokes. Dance prices had increased somewhat due to inflation. I was hoping to find a girl to do a limo, but struck out. One dude was arguing with a girl and while I'm no stranger to clubs with drama, it was enough to be unnerving. There were a dozen dancers, reasonably attractive. However the thing to do these days is apparently go and throw money on stage. I just don't like that, I prefer to tip politely and ask a dancer to visit me when she gets down. Several guys were throwing ones on stage and so my Franklins stayed in my pocket. I tried to get a girl to talk to me after her set, but got into a bidding war with one of the $1 throwers. He won, like I said I don't like doing that. I'm willing to pay a lot for one-on-one time, but not while they're on stage and I have no guarantee of individual attention. I visited several clubs in North Carolina and they had all moved towards this "throw money to look important" feel. It was underwhelming and I will review the other clubs as I have time.
Raleigh and Greensboro used to be a place where I liked to club, I thought the area was underrated. I hope this was an aberration but am not optimistic.
