Price and right but you get what you pay for

I came by Industrial Strip on a Monday night around 9pm, their website advertises $10 dances and I thought it’d be a nice way to check it out. I was in Chicago so it was a bit of a drive to Hammond but traffic and tolls weren’t horrible. It’s in a quiet part of town but not particularly sketchy- it’s off a main road and not far from some gas stations so it’s not like you’re driving blocks and blocks into industrial sites to get there.

I parked in a mostly empty lot and went in. The bouncer behind the register was very friendly, big smile and light conversation as he ate his nachos and rang me up for $17. He gave me a receipt and I headed into the main area.

Like people have called out, it’s not a huge club- small bar on the right, long room down away from the entrance. On the left is a large “main stage”, and most of the rest of the room is filled with seating. There were a few barstools right in front of the bar so I sat there, with 3 other male patrons nearby.
