Shortest Visit I Have Ever Had, But Worth Every Minute

A decade ago, Bridgeport was the center of the universe for CT strip clubs. I can think of 8 clubs that I visited with regularity. That count is now down to 4, but only 2 are really keeping regular hours. Pleasant Moments is one of the few remaining Bridgeport clubs, and the one that's always fun. The club is at the end of a long residential street, right in front of what used to be a bridge crossing a channel. Bridge is gone (though I heard they are thinking of rebuilding it), and so there is a lot of unused space that the club uses for parking.

Admission is $10; you go through a detector, and get patted down. The club is on two levels. Lower level has a large rectangular bar, and the upper level has some pool tables along with regular seating. The stage straddles the two levels; its shoulder height at the bottom level, but you can sit right up to it at the top level. It's a bikini bar...I haven't seen girls take anything off on stage in a very long time. Most don't even dance; they just walk around and try to show off their wares. Most girls are a little too thick for me, but if you're patient, you'll find someone to your liking. For the most part, the girls speak Spanish, and that makes communication difficult. Usually, I just wait for a girl that's to my liking, but I wave them away if they don't speak English.

Normally, my visits to Pleasant's last a few hours. I go through a couple of beers, make some small talk with whomever drops by, scope out the girls, and take my time making a selection. This time was so much different, though. I had just struck out at Ruby's, and was headed home, but as I got closer to Pleasant's, I figured that I would stop in just to see who was there. I didn't have high hopes because it was around 3 in the afternoon, and thought that it would be dead at that time of the day. Boy, was I wrong!
