Transactional afternoon visit, no more, no less
Carnival Book Store is not a strip club - though I’m too young to have ever experienced this era, I heard that it harkens back to the old Times Square peep shows of the 1980s. There is no music, no dancers, just women of various ethnicities, ages, and body types in what are basically phone booths that you can chat with to agree to a private closet-like room. The store is clean - and besides the female private time aspect, it also has video booths (never visited those) and an adult novelty store (dildos, vibrators, pocket pussies, toys, videos, etc.) Last time I was here, I bought my significant other a small battery-powered friend that she really enjoys using with me.
Back to the experience. On the day I was here, a Tuesday afternoon a few weeks ago after leaving work, there were way more women working than usual. I am not good at doing my homework on this place on TUSCL to determine who to take to a private room, but everyone has different preferences anyway. I did some window shopping (it’s SUCH a weird layout - the doors that they use to enter/leave their booths are mostly a window, but you have to go to the other side and put a dollar bill into a machine to un-shade the window and activate basically a pay phone. Then you say hello to them, ask if they want to go back with you (of course they say yes), they will occasionally ask what you are looking for. Then you pay the attendant $60 for the room.
My experience with the rooms has been that every one is basically the same, except one is set up like a sex dungeon. I was in that one once, because the others were taken, but we didn’t use any of the tools there that day.
