Visited: Wednesday Afternoon

I visited GGC on a Wednesday afternoon. I'd passed it many times, it looks very big, and their advertising is better than many other clubs. I guess I was expecting better. But Wednesday afternoons are Wednesday afternoons in the strip club world.

GGC is located on a main road east of Baltimore. The parking was free and plentiful on the side of the building (but then, I was there at 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon). There was a metal detector at the front and security looked at (but did not scan) my ID. There was no cover. I bought a $5 water and settled into my usual spot, a corner away from the stage, because I don't like to make it too easy. Maybe it's me. There is a menu and kitchen but my regular readers know I never partake of food or alcohol. One vice only.

A previous reviewer used the word "cavernous" to describe the inside. That's spot on. The building somehow looks smaller from the outside than it does on the inside. The high ceiling may have a lot to do with that effect. The stage is offset-shaped between two octagonal bar areas, only one of which was in use. Chairs line the sides of the stage. Some TVs were tuned to ESPN. There is a lap dance area against one wall behind some frosted glass. There are a couple of private room areas ("Gold Room" and "Champagne Room") behind doors against another wall. The bathroom was quite clean (spoiler alert, this may have been the highlight of my visit).
