I visited Men’s Club of Reno on Monday Sep 25, 2023 from about 7 to 9pm. The club’s website says they open at 3pm, Google maps says 6pm, maps is correct. The club is on Lake St which is parallel to and 2 blocks east of Virginia St, the main drag of downtown Reno. Near intersection with Plaza St. It’s a few blocks from many of the big hotels downtown. The club has a parking lot with a valet station at the entrance, I don’t know if valet is required or optional as I walked from my hotel. The building is long and narrow with the entrance at the narrow end by the street. I was informed inside the door there was no cover but was asked to wave my ID just to show I had one. No security stuff.

Just inside there is a small room with bar. Proceeding down a hallway, which has the restrooms on it, one reaches the main room, which is not large, with a bar to the right when you enter and the stage opposite, The room is filled with about 15 4 seat tables and there are about 20 seats along the walls. This being Nevada smoking is allowed, ash trays on the tables, cigarette vending machine in the hallway. There are a couple of screens that were showing Monday Night Football this night. The host asked as I entered if I wanted to eat dinner, upon my saying yes he offered a choice of one of the tables and gave me the menu. There were maybe 10 customers or so, including some male-female couples. Downtown Reno seemed mostly deserted this Monday, although a dancer sail it had been quite busy the last few days because of some motorcycle week thing. Had a decent dinner. Paid for this with a credit card, with which they wanted to see my ID, which I consider insulting.

The decor of the club is quite fancy. The stage at the end of the main room is small, only room for one dancer at a time. The dancer enters the rear of the stage through a curtain. The dancer does two song sets, getting topless. There were not enough dancers for a continuous stage show, the stage empty most of the time. Music was a reasonable volume, with a lot of what I might call “soft rap”. There are no seats right at the stage, one has to walk up to the stage to tip.
