We Hit the Club, But It Was Kind of a Miss

This club gets very little attention on TUSCL – only 20 reviews. Jascoi was the first to review it right after they opened in 2016, and he had good things to say. However, in a comment he added four years later, he said “since my review everything that I have read and heard about deja Vu Tijuana is kind of disappointing. management there just doesn't seem to get it. it's overpriced and understaffed and cannot even begin to compare with hong kong and Zona Norte.”

The most recent review here is by PutaTester from October of last year, whom I will quote as a set-up for my review: “Went to Deja Vu Tijuana on a Sunday night. I would not have gone at all except that a local that I have known for years just started working there as a mesero.”

I include this because I was actually *with* PutaTester the other night, and just having spent time with him at Chicago Club, his local friend picked us up and took us to Deja Vu – mostly, I think, for me to check out. The friend no longer works there, but over the years he’s worked at most of the major clubs in TJ and knows the drill. He is a very cool guy who is fully bilingual, and it was good to have him along.
