A mediocre alternative to a strip club

On several recommendations, I visited Sam's for the first time. Arrived around 10 PM and paid $20 to valet my rental car. After going through a metal detector, placing my valuables in a bowl, getting patted down, getting wanded again, and having my drivers license scanned, I forked over another $10 and went inside. So I am already down $30, and went through the equivalent of TSA at the airport. I'm thinking to myself, "How rough is this place?"

I first beelined to the bathroom so I could scope the place out and not get approached. The venue itself consists of basically one large room with booths surrounding a large central stage and a bar along one side of the room, with billiards and bathrooms in back. There were about 10 - 15 girls seated at the bar - mostly thick and latin. When I saw the leather clad gentlemen playing pool and the patrons in the bathroom - I realized how rough this place might get. Let's just say two were having a conversation blocking the door and I didn't really want to interrupt with an "excuse me."

I went back on to the floor and found a hightop to sit at because I was by myself. I didn't really understand how this place worked. There weren't any girls on stage, there were a couple of girls twerking on tables at booths that seated groups of 4-6, and the rest of the girls were at the bar. Unlike other strip clubs, girls did not immediately approach. Quite frankly, for me to approach girls sitting in groups of 15 at the bar isn't my thing.
