Small place, quiet weeknight, fun time overall

Been a hot minute since I’ve been back to RVA. Stayed at a hotel right near the club and arrived quite late on a Wednesday night (after midnight). Decided to get over to club rouge - had never actually been there before - had only hit up paper moon previously.

Anyway I hustled over there to enjoy before closing (2am). Place was smaller than I had imagined. Cover was $10. Only had $100 on me and got a stack of 90 club rouge single funny money in return :|… oh well I guess I’ll go ahead and use it all I think to myself.

First floor is situated with 2 small ish rooms. The entrance room has a bar, to the right is the room with the stage. I grab a drink at the bar, which feels like classic Richmond dive bar. Tatted up bartender chick.. some old school video games near the bar.. this place feels like home. Bud light was $8, tip 2 and move over to stage room. Bouncer/doorman is friendly and lets me know the rules - no touching girls on the stage, no phones in the stage room… fair enough.
