Some good, some bad, but avoid football nights.

Every now and then I decide to hit up one of the clubs in Jacksonville. Sinsations has been so far the best of the bunch for me, though there are a decent amount I haven't tried yet. So, I decide to head over there Thursday after work around 7 pm. There were maybe 12 cars in the lot, but there was still parking in the front. I've always been a bit concerned about parking in the back because it is pretty secluded back there and this isn't the best part of town. There is an attendant in the front who was friendly enough and scanned me with a hand held metal detector. $10 cover charge at the door which surprised me a bit for relatively early on a Thursday, but whatever.

And then on in.

Going in it seemed pretty clean, but definitely not upscale. You are required to buy a drink and there is no alcohol, so I ended up getting a $6 bottle of water. After getting that at the bar, you can see the two stages inside and a pool table off to the back. There is one larger central stage, and a smaller one off to the side. When I went in there wasn't anyone on either, and it stayed this way for most of the next hour. For future reference, avoid going between 7 and 8 as the shift is changing and no one is on stage. This may be different on the weekend, but its good to know for a weekday. The main stage eventually ended up being used, and the pattern seemed to be having a girl up there for 2 songs and then switching out. The secondary stage was never used.
