Has Seen Better Days

This was my first visit to Atlantis since before the pandemic. The club, as originally built, was opulent. And it still looks really nice on the outside. (I came a few days after a bouncer shot some guy in the parking lot, although the news stories implied that this was after the victim pulled a gun on the bouncer.) In any case, the crowd there didn't feel any different than before the pandemic, except that it was sparser. The inside of the club is a sight to behold but looks a bit worse for the wear. The bathroom sink was dirty, and used paper towels were strewn about. (Contrast this with a cleaner bathroom at Club 390, one of Atlantis' Cheri competitors.) Atlantis also hyped up its menu, and I needed to eat dinner. The food took forever to come and was underwhelming.

Okay, onto the talent. I had discussed meeting up with a particular dancer that I met on IG. While waiting for her, I was chatted up by several overweight girls and one absolutely psychotic one (tall, thin black girl with blue braids who seemed like she was on some serious drugs). To be fair, there was also a whole group of really attractive girls sitting off to the side in one section. I chatted one up when she came to the rail and realized why they weren't making the rounds... they are all Cuban and speak almost entirely Spanish. They were waiting for regulars who are Spanish speakers.

The girl i was meeting up with finally arrived, and the night wasn't a total loss. She was creative in her pricing and found a way to pocket more money while the club pocketed less. Full menu available, which is also the sense I got from several dancers except the hot Cuban. Final takeaway is that Atlantis has seen better days. I'll probably stick to other clubs for the rest of the year and see what happens with Atlantis in 2024. (My girl who I met is moving out of town this month, so another reason not to go.)
