The lowdown…
I went to Centerfolds after not having been for a while and having a bad experience the last time I was there. Centerfolds is one of only two clubs in what used to be the notorious Combat Zone. The Naked i and the rest of the classic clubs are now gone except for The Glass Slipper next door. The Glass Slipper is now across the street from where it used to be and right next to Centerfolds.
Centerfolds is in a decent, renovated building on a side street. I went rather late so there were shady characters outside like gypsy can drivers and a couple of weird guys trying to talk to me when I left. I believe there are 4 floors. The main floor with the main stage, a mezzanine where guys were making it rain on several dancers from up there, a third floor with another stage and a fourth floor with VIP. VIP is the only part with contact. Regular lap dances can be had downstairs but they are $30 per song and they are air dances with no contact. VIP here is expensive. I think I was quoted $850 for an hour and $450 for a half hour. Plus I believe you practically have to tip everyone involved so it really adds up. This is why a lot of guys who live in Boston go to Providence.
I have to say the bouncers were extremely nice and very professional tonight. They actually remembered me from before and gave me free admission. And they were not too pushy like some have been in the past.
