Sometimes being the only customer is OK

I visited Ecstasy Theatre in Santa Ana on Saturday July 8, 2023 from about 3:30 to 5:15 pm. The club is in an industrial area, on the south side of Warner and second building west of Fairview. It’s a standalone rectangular building within its own walled in parking. The parking lot is small, a half dozen spaces in the front of the building and maybe 20 along the side, with not much room to maneuver . I think their hours are 11am to 2am at the end of the week and maybe 3 pm opening otherwise. I wouldn’t trust their website which looks like it hasn’t been updated in a long time. Entering at one end there is a window where the $10 cover is paid and you are informed that the club is no alcohol, nude dancers, and 2 drink minimum at $7 each so $24 total to enter. Then you enter through a floor to ceiling turnstile into a long room. Front to back along the left wall are the lap dance area, rest rooms (small but functional) and a stand up bar. In the center is the stage, a “dogbone” shape with two small round stages each with a pole, connected by a narrow walkway. Chairs around the stage and a few rows of chairs and tables at the near end of the stage and a few seats along the right wall.

Sitting down I was soon approached for the drinks, I had generic bottled water, and they give you both drinks at once which is awkward to carry around. The drinks were provided by a guy who was sort of a combination bouncer, drink server, and lap dance cashier all in one. Most of the time I was there I was the only customer, about half an hour before I left two other customers came in. Despite being the only customer they did keep a dancer on the stage most of the time. There were probably 5 dancers, most I would call full bodied, with one thinner, some tats, and looked on the older side around 30 or so. Definitely no 20 year olds here. Facial beauty not so great on the whole. They did 2 song sets, first topless, second nude. In my experience there tend to be two kinds of nude dance, one where she stays on her feet with legs together and the other where she sits down and spreads her legs for a good view. These dances were the second kind. Music was varied. I think the dancers chose their songs since they always talked with the DJ before going on stage.

Lap dances are $50 per song, although the songs are long. This is paid at the bar after your session. Dancers waited for the next song to start and song transitions were announced. The dances were done in individual rooms with chaise lounges, small tables and the opening closed with curtains. The customer was invited to lie flat on his back. Dancers got nude. One dancer said the philosophy of this place was the club rents the customer the room and the rest is up to the dancer. I did 3 songs each with two different dancers. The first was a full boded D cup while woman. The other was a slim oriental from Thailand. All dances were very high mileage with stick shifting etc. Both dancers initiated kissing and one of them included tongue action.
