decent spot west of the river

I was in Portland a few months ago and did a tour of the clubs east of the river. On a more recent trip I decided to check out the clubs west of the river. I was staying at a hotel close to the bridge and it was a nice night so I decided to walk. Most people don't probably choose their legs as the mode of transport but I was down for it. Maybe 1.5 miles. I entered this area of town and it was pretty dead overall despite numerous bars and clubs that were open. Lots of homeless people mulling about or crashed out on the sidewalks.

I stopped in to two other clubs over the course of the night (Kit Kat and another whose name I don't recall) but I spent most of my time at Spyce. Two nice door guys at the door upon entry. I think cover was $7 or $10. Domestic beers were $7.

Smallish, compact club but it opens up toward the back when fuller crowd and for dance areas. Generally young dancers - low 20s across the board. Ranging in looks from 5-9, with a bit of the hipster vibe so common in Portland. Blend of white, Latina, Asian/islander and one or two AA girls.
