It was OK.

First trip to Scarlet's in a while. Went on a Saturday evening. $15.00 cover. Don't know if there is an extra fee to go to the private dance area upstairs. There used to be an additional $5 charge but did not go upstairs this visit. There are 2 "stages". Each is a rectangular area with space for 2 dancers. A set was like two songs long with dancers moving from one area to the next. So if you liked a dancer at the stage and wanted to keep tipping/talking then you had to move too. Which is weird and frustrating. Wait staff very friendly and not overbearing. The dancers were nearly all on the younger side, not enhanced, but plenty of tatts and piercings (the nose ring seems to be popular). One stage has a big ring swing and some of the gals perform quite athletic feats on it. Sound system is good and under control (was in there one time when it was so loud it hurt). Main stage shoots "smoke", I don't get it, why obscure the dancers? Isn't that the purpose of being there, to see the women? Again, I'd put most of the dancers in the category of girls and not "women". Younger, costumed, friendly but not pushy or rude if you decline dances. Seemed like a fair number of Hispanic spanish speakers, just one African-American gal when I was there, no Asians, maybe an eastern Euro or two going by accents. Saw more gals wandering around who never got on stage in the time I was there. Just seemed like the quality wasn't there, but probably more of a not my type thing. Did not see many gals headed upstairs with customers (and it was comfortably busy but not jam packed, customers pretty chill, not a lot of "frat boy" types nor young knuckleheads). Will probably return on another night and as a different time just to compare.
