New Floor Plan, RIP to Part of the Wall

Before I get started, how incompetent must you be as a businessman to open a gun shop in Phoenix and have it close in less than six months? /smh

Okay, onto the news. Aside from a well needed black-topping and re-striping of the parking lot, when I walked in today a new sight awaited me (as well as other surprised dancers) that wasn't there last week . There is now a mini-stage (about 5' x 8' where the corner wall tables closest to the VIP wall used to be. Unlike the stages that were temporarily set up during the dark, absolutely-no-touching days of COVID "menace," this stage has a permanent feel to it. There's a pole that is firmly secured to the ceiling, and bench seating (not unlike an old-timey diner) and small tables secured to the floors/walls. I didn't ask John (the manager) the reasons, but dancers speculated it was for some type of bottle service upgrade, though the Cubans had no problem sitting there and once dancer bravely tried to give some dances to a PL. There's virtually no room between the stage edge and the benches, so the dancer struggled to make contact, finally gave up and they went to VIP.

Due to its size and proximity to that corner, when the front table is occupied, there's about 18" of room to get by and I already saw one PL and one bouncer either trip or bang their shins on the edge of the stage. This is definitely a slip and fall lawsuit waiting to happen. The immediate losers of this are PLs who knew this corner was best spot on the floor for $10 lap dances, the bald dude who comes in more often than me but just likes to dancers for hours on end, and the Cubans who lost four tables to hang out at. Not sure who the winners are, as, unless management can monetize that spot somehow, I don't see how making it rain in a mildly more private spot in the club helps it make more money. Time will tell; in the meantime, I'd get Rafi on speed dial, cuz this is an accident that will happen sooner rather than later.
