I’m unintentionally hitting every gold club in the country. This one is much like the others: a decent place that is almost awkwardly large and open. $10 cover, $6 cokes. Smoking is allowed and a smoke machine is running. Two main stages and a side area that may be used when busier. I was wanded on entry and at least one security guy was wearing a vest. Really? Is Memphis THAT dangerous? I didn’t feel unsafe but maybe I was naive?
There were several customers but it still felt emptyish. Mixed crowd and a few couples wandered through. Most interactions were people going to a girl onstage and making it drizzle ($10 or so). Girls stuck with their regulars at tables. I only saw one or two go for private dances, which aren’t very private as they are kind of open and well lit.
Girls were 6.5-7s. Skinny white girls and a couple hispanics. They’d do two songs, collect 50-100 in ones, come down and sit with their regulars. I tend to chat and get a room if I like her. It was a frustrating night as I was never approached and I don’t like approaching girls who are with someone else.
Might try again, striking out is unfortunately common.
