Meh, but it was the afternoon!

I went by in the late afternoon, just after opening time I think. It's a typical seaside building with creaky floors. Paid the cover, which is a little annoying when the place is empty, and got a rum and coke, which had a surprising amount of rum although it was $15.

A fairly nice AA dancer came out who was very pretty and talkative, ex-military she claimed, and she asked for (and I bought) a pina colada, which was $20. She wasn't pushy at all and was good company. The "VIP" area... isn't a VIP area at all. There's a pool room in one area that some people (locals? owner?) were in that is well lit and then there's the private dance area, which is a big square room with all the benches facing the center. She was athletic and fun, and allowed me to be a bit handsy, but it was one way. Also, not extras hinted at in any way, no OTC, zip.

We went back there for dances a few times, but there wasn't much more to say. She was good company, however. Other dancers seemed to stay out of sight. A few people came in for drinks more than anything else. Normally, I like the afternoons because of less pressure and an ability to make a connection, but in this case there wasn't much to do or see. Also the layout is really not promising for what the evenings might hold. I'll have to come back and check more out in the evening and see if any other dancers have other menus.
