Could do better, could do worse
This place can sometimes feel more like a nightclub than a gentlemen’s club. It’s darker than your typical club and the music gets loud when the place gets going. My take is the layout influences that vibe. It’s just off a rotary an industrial setting not that far from Logan Airport. No safety concerns.
The Layout:
Cover is $20 at the door and you’ll walk in to find a bunch of chairs and small tables arranged around a long, obtuse angled stage. Immediately to your right is the bar which extends the length of the club. At the far end of the bar is the bathroom. On the far side of the angled stage, there are booths for private parties and behind those booths is an area for lap dances. Before the booths on the left wall, there is a curtain that leads to a VIP area. Never been in, never asked, don’t know how much it is. From what I’ve seen when the curtain gets pulled back, it looks pretty open. That said, I’ve seen very few people go in and out in my time at this club. It’s a Massachusetts club- I don’t really expect the VIP area to be too active. I did find it funny that the ATM is right outside the curtain.
The experience:
I’ve been 3 separate times over the past two years - a Saturday night around 9, Friday after midnight, and most recently this past Saturday just after open at 6. I wouldn’t go early again. I was one of two customers for roughly 90 minutes. During the time, the 5-6 dancers didn’t really work the room. Most dancers strolled in in their street clothes, mingled with the bartenders, and you wouldn't see them again until they hit the stage. One sat down with me and we talked over drinks, but there wasn’t much interest in jumping to a dance. This tracks with my first visit arriving after 9. Customers fill in the seats around the main stage and the night rolls on going from stage set to stage set with a limited number of girls working the room.
Once the stage sets start, the club fills in quickly. And when this happens, the place can feel congested. If seating is limited, most of the customers hang around the seating area closest to the entrance and grab drinks at the portion of the bar that is also closest to the entrance. On a crowded night, it creates a bottleneck to navigate if you get up to get a drink or use the bathroom. Not many people go to or hang out at the far end of the club.
This seems like a couples friendly place. I left the club this Saturday feeling like I had a hard time discerning who was a dancer from who was a customer. Could be that this is a spot bigger groups are coming to for a DJ set? No idea.
The girls:
I prefer a slim or athletic build and while the club has some of that talent, it can be a challenge to find. I would put the majority of the girls here in the bigger category with a handful of those girls clearly having work done. The girl I talked to was athletic and, when her time came, she impressed on the pole, but some of the others treated the main stage like it was a runway.
The dances:
No dances this time around. Last visit, a slim black girl approached me for a dance. Paid $40 for one song and it went better than anticipated. Clear clock watching, but enough contact and enthusiasm that I extended for 3 songs for $110 and tip.
Conclusion:
I can’t see this place being anybody’s favorite club, but if you’re north of Boston its not the worst of the available options. Go later in the night and don't expect to be blown away
