Surprisingly decent first visit

After my visit to Fantasy Girls was a total bust I decided to check this place out. I kept my expectations low so I wouldn’t be disappointed. This experience is from a month or two ago, I just didn’t have time to write a review until now.

I visited Peppermint Hippo on a Wednesday night slightly after 12am. I was greeted by a door girl and a man I presumed to be one of the managers; both were friendly and welcoming which was already a major improvement from Fantasy Girls. Cover was only $10. Swift pat down by security before I was let inside the main section of the club.

This place is huge (two stories) and looked very high end compared to other Reno clubs I’ve visited. They had a bar immediately to the right as you walk in and two stages on opposite ends of the room with a dancer occupying both. There were a lot of patrons in that particular night which was shocking to me because I didn’t expect that volume on a random weeknight. I took a seat at the bar first and ordered a drink (forgot the price, but they’re very watered down) before heading off to scope out the talent.
