I was back in town for work so decided to swing by my usual place on a Friday and Saturday night. LDs has gone through a massive amount of transformation over the last year. It's obvious that clubs are experiencing extreme financial distress, and LDs proves to be a clear example. For this reason, older reviews can be misleading too, because the place is literally changing that much that quickly.
2022 was the year of inflation. 2023 is the year of recession. So the cover charge is coming down from last year. BUT, they will not honor the receipt as a free cover for the following day. These are all changes within a matter of months.
Dancers keep talking about mgmt ripping them off with more and higher fees. There used to be a check-in desk near the south VIP area and that has now moved to the north one. None of this was there pre-pandemic. It was a much more casual environment. So now, no matter where you are going, you have to check-in before going to the back and do the transaction out in the open.
