Naked Lunch at No. 5
It's been around three months since I last visited No. 5. For those are aren't Vancouver locals, this is really the last of the true strip clubs from about 20 years ago that is still standing. It's in the roughest part of town and if you're brave enough to get here, you'll find your time here decent enough. I almost always come during the lunch power hour, where they basically rotate through their line up of 4 to 5 dancers, each doing a set of 3-4 songs, with only a short five to ten minute break in between, as opposed to the regular 30 minute break after power hour is over.
No cover in the afternoon, and the line up today was not bad for the day shift, average was a 6, there was a 4, but to make up for it, there was also one 8. The rail was, as usual, scattered with a few really old men, and also some men who looked like they were there for their lunch break. No. 5 has a kitchen that serves ok bar food. I like to sit a few tables back, order a beer, and enjoy the next 60 minutes.
Feel sorry for the dancers as there isn't much energy, ok, there's no energy, during lunch time. The seniors at the rail don't usually tip, but the dancers are always very nice to them. I gave $5 to each of the dancers that afternoon. It's hard dancing to an audience of seven when four of them have no teeth. There was no dancer walking the floor offering private laps upstairs for $50. It's expensive, but full nude so totally depends on your wallet and your wants. Sometimes there might be one in the afternoon, and definitely around 7-10 on a Saturday night.
