Saturday night not a downer at the DWNR
My first visit to Canada in over 2 decades wouldn't have been complete without surveying the titty bar situation. I wasn't disappointed at the DWNR. Security was typical for a busier club on a weekend: metal detector and pat down before paying the man for a bracelet. Inside to the left is a long L shaped (err.. hockey stick shaped since we're in Canada. I didn't see anyone working the bar on the long side towards the stages, the bartender only seemed to be interested in servicing the waitresses around the corner by the pool table where the lighting was fairly harsh, I thought. Not that you could have bellied up to the bar on the main side anyway with as packed as it was. I didn't buy any drinks, as I'd already had several beers at the races and still had to drive back to my hotel in Buffalo, so I can't comment on prices.
As I already mentioned, it was Saturday night and the place was jam packed (standing room only) with a mostly younger crowd. Some seemed really interested in the girls and others were clearly there to party. It looked like there were plenty of girls of just about any size, shape, ethnicity that you could desire. Maybe a slight majority of Latinas, but it was too busy to really get a good read on that. 6's to very strong 9's, my criteria for a 10 rating is very elite and I didn't notice any that made that grade. Too many fake boobs though, but that is true in every club in the US. I guess I'd hoped that Canada would be different. Did I mention that I hate fake tits? I'd rather look at nothing but mosquito bites than play with one fake boob.
The main stage is fairly long, with 2 poles if I remember right, and kind of in the middle of the club. There is a smaller stage/pole on one side and maybe another off in the back corner. The other back corner looked like it had an entrance to some kind of a private club or something, but I didn't investigate. There are lapdance rooms on each side with several fairly roomy and comfortable, but not at all private, cubicles for dances.
I let a couple of the cutest girls talk me into some dances, both quoted $25/song, one didn't budge, one quickly came down to $20. The bouncer walked by looking in, perving I presume, several times per song. I've never seen such over watch in a club. Even with the watchful eye of big-brother both offered great grinding & stick shifting and allowed some quick, clandestine exploration of the lady bits. I did get digits for takeout from both and successfully used one for an eventful meet-up later.
I did break one of my cardinal rules though, thinking that Canadian girls would be better educated: Never go for dances at a per-song price because STRIPPERS CAN'T COUNT. Nope, they are the same as in the states, the song count is always at least double of actual and you know it's a scam because when you protest they always quickly drop a few off the total. They should realize that this behavior negatively affects their tip. Rant (and review) over.
