Almost perfect evening at St. James.

I wasn't expecting much on a Monday evening but was pleasantly surprised. I was at the St. James from about 6 to 10 pm. At 6, it was still slow but activity gradually picked up and still seemed to be on the upswing as I was leaving. From 9 pm on, two stages were being used. The girls were not just hot, they were fun to chat with. In that regard, a special call out to Jessie (pronounced Yes-si) from Cuba, Alina and Rainy. Rainy particularly is a sweetheart with a beautiful smile. She had me from "hello".

However, there was one blonde (name forgotten; I think it began with a "K") that almost ruined my evening. She was arguably the best looking dancer of that evening, but her high pressure tactics were off-putting. No "hello, can I join you". Instead, immediate sales pitch for VIP with her friend. I declined VIP but agreed to a couple of regular dances. Bad decision. She began by telling me that her minimum for dances was $100. I presumed that at the going rate that meant 5 @ $20. My mistake. After 2 very mediocre dances, she claimed it had been $100-worth. I called her on it, but her retort was "time flies when you're having fun". I settled with her for $70 and told her to get lost. After all that, she still had the gall to ask "Do you still love me" and "You sure you don't want to take me to VIP"? Seriously?

Not to end on that bad note, the vast majority of girls are fantastic. Indeed, all but the one. The bartenders are great to chat with, the sports offering on the numerous TVs are top-notch and the food is excellent, - I had loaded Gulf snapper with potato at a very. reasonable price. I will be back!
