Thursday evening

I came to Pittsburgh as a tourist but decided to take in a strip club as I had a couple hours of free time. My first choice was Cheerleaders, but they were having some sort of invitation-only event, so I went a mile and a half down the street to Rick’s. The club is on a moderately busy street in the middle of downtown. There was a lot of activity on the street when I arrived at 6:30 pm and when I left at 9:00, so I felt quite safe. The only real close parking was on the street but down an adjacent alley about half a block was a small pay lot, which was monitored by an attendant. It cost $20, but again it felt secure so I paid up.

Cover at the club at 6:30 pm was $5. I had a Coke for $4 and later bought a dancer a mixed drink for $9.

I was a bit surprised at the size of the club, smaller than I expected. Not tiny but just rather small. There was a bar with seating for about 12 and low tables, several hightop tables and a number of seats along the stage. Altogether I’d guess seating for 50 or so patrons. The stage was reasonably large with two poles. They only had one dancer at a time who danced three songs per set. The first was covered top and bottom, the second was topless and the third fully nude. There was some stage tipping but not much. I’d rate the girls as ranging from 6-9. I found about half to be slim and fit and the other half I’d describe as well-fed. None were fat but a lot were thicker than I prefer.
